In The Jungle

It  was an unbearable dry heat. The entire company was in a miserable mood due to the lack of sleep and water. She walked slowly, trudging at the ground, she was between two remarkably large men, furious like nothing else on earth.
After sometime from leaving the village she awoke in a crazed vengeance; cursing and fighting in circles trying desperately to find her way back towards the village. Then came the sadness and despair; she knew should could not go back, it would cause more harm than pleasure. Now she was just angry; purposely tossing her emotions at me as if throwing blows to the forehead. I walked a few yards behind her, taking with a lesser of the large man company that we traveled with. He did not speak much english very well, but we tossed simple words around at each other. The jungle was full of animals and noises; I was extremely uneasy. I wondered how much longer to Rio, she was getting tired and I feared that we would have to stop and stay in the jungle for the night. Without warning, I guessed from miles away I heard the shot fired. A man leading the company fell to the earth gracefully, his eyes filled with shock as if his home had betrayed him. The men hollered in various languages, the returned the favor in all directions hoping for a hit, it became a war zone in a matter of seconds, I ducked to the ground scurrying to where she was thrown down. I reached he assessing that she was okay. Three men near me were at my side in a matter of seconds; "Get her to Rio" I said calmly, she looked at me in confusion. She did not wish for me to stay behind. "I will meet you in Rio, I promise". "Go now." The scurried into the jungle, I watched as she was taken drifted farther away into the jungle with men I had but to trust. I turned to the fighting, the enemy had split, some were very close the others were traveling into the jungle, following after her I guessed.
I let go, once she was far enough away, I could feel the burning flow through my body; the redness as it covered my eyes. A charming sneer crossed over my face. In a matter of seconds I had taken out and slain all opposing bodies in the small war zone. My company stunned and flabbergasted; frozen in place as I methodically pursued the others tracking my defenseless sister through the jungle. I was running, fast. It was fantastic as if something I had not done in millions of years; since the dock. I had lost something then, something over the last few months. I had lost my drive to protect her, I had lost my purpose. It was coming back now, the farther into the jungle I ran; catching up to them.
I slammed right into him, knocking us airborne for seconds, then hard into the ground. We tumbled over each other several times before he slammed his fist hard into my chest, I was instantly back up with a return. It was rough fighting, I was fragile but I didn't care and he knew that. He spoke; "I see you have found the knife I left you, didn't like it sitting in you side did you?" "I tossed that stupid knife at his head missing and it flying far into the jungle. Another came for me, I moved out of his grasp swinging my body around, the air turning to my advantage, I snapped his neck with no feeling to it. I turned to continue my fight, he was gone. Not far off though, from the former slaying grounds; he was here to, steps behind the two competing groups. I could not take them all at once, I took off towards Rio. She was sending me thought, it took me off guard, I tripped. My enemy was far gone, but my follower was almost on my heals, I stumble to get up; taking to a run again. I looked back only for a second; I turned my head back and stopped dead in my tracks, screaming for my life but completely frozen. He was not expecting me to stop, he ran into me but keeping us upward as he stared into the completely giant snake hanging from god knows what in front of mine and his face. His arm was around my waste supporting me from falling forward, he smelled of clean; something fresh I longed for in that village of dirt. I was still screaming, he covered my mouth slowly. Someone else from the right, very distant, from his company shot the giant snake causing it to fall to the ground. I instantly jumped up in the air practically crawling over his perfectly still body. I elbowed him in the head, stalling his senses as I ran again after my destination. I felt his astonishment as he took in the last moments, almost amused by them. We were all running again, as if in a serious marathon in hopes of winning a large prize. I began to see what I had saw minutes earlier through her eyes, a wooden bridge. It was old, the one they crossed. I made it to the middle before him, he instantly hesitated as he saw my halted body. I he came onto the bridge, taking his chances. I smiled; he saw instantly and began to turn as I fired two shots from an old gun into the two main ropes holding it in position. The bridge gave before he could make it halfway back, I felt the gravity as my body dropped with the falling bridge. I was calm I fell for a few feet before my arm caught the side flapped against the cliff. He was already holding on a few feet down. I scramble up, he did so two, catching up to me quickly. He pulled the back of my belt catching me off guard I fell grabbing on to his leg. He struggled to get me off. He would succeed and I knew it, he sensed my plan and gave me a stare, a seriously don't do this stare. I fired three shots this time two the final ropes holding us there dangling on the side of the cliff. We feel, as we were falling I saw two men from my company toss a rope, I caught it. He looked up, he was falling. I stared down as he hit the water. I looked back up, climbing as they were pulling.
He would survive this, I was not worried, I was just concerned how much then men of the company had seen. Could they tell we were not new enemies? I was afraid that they would say something to her, causing her to worry. To why when I had reached the top of the cliff, planting my feel on the ground again. I spent the last two bullets in my gun on the two saviors of my fall. They didn't expect it, to why they did not feel any pain or fear. It was calm. I turned back on to the path, leading my way into Rio, where I would find her; curious to the outcome that lead me back alone with no survivors of our company.
She was standing by a wall as they scoped out the walk way making sure it was safe. The instant she heard the trigger load, she panicked. It was him, she could tell by the way he smelled and felt. A feeling that he had found her once again, the older women most likely not far off either. Had her sister not made it out of the jungle, was this to be her end? She knew there was no way her temporary protecters she had been left with could survive these two. She closed her eyes, hoping for this time to be less painful, less blood. Maybe they would kill her now and drain her quick. The idea thrilled her, but I was never that easy. She opened her eyes and turned once again to look upon the face of the man who would be the end of her here in the streets of distant Rio.
