I am pulled to the surface in an extreme crash of air, cold and wind. As if I was being shown the world all over again.
There was panic around me as the worked over my body trying to re-pare me. The boat moved swiftly. Then cover from the light, damp and cold. Old familiar arms carry my limp body through glass doors to and elevator. Next through a homey door. My body is placed upon and high surface as other fumble about. A young girl carrying another comes, she is content.
A pinch to my arm, his hand upon my mouth as I begin to scream. They hold my body to the counter as it begins to convulse. Time passes, the shock turns to calm. I sob, silently to myself as I lye there alone on the counter for others have left on a nervous action or errand. The young girl is conversation with him. They talk:
"She may never be as good as she once was. She has lost so much, her strength will take weeks if even months to come back to its full and gainful peak. Her empathy may not even exist anymore, or be so lacking that it is almost human. She might not even survive this." "She will" "She is even more fragile than ever before. The next you are ordered to take her down she will fall."
I motion to roll off the counter, forgetting its high. My balance catches me upright. She comes to move me towards the shower. His gaze burning though me. In the shower I clean off the smell of blood and river. Looking down I loose myself in another memory. My heartbeat drops. Instantly the facet is turned off and a towel is rapped around me in less than seconds it seems. I find myself being shot back to this terrible reality in his warm arms. Stuck in his eyes for a spit second before I lower my head. His hand, warm and comforting, pulls my face back towards his and he lays his warm and homey lips upon mine. For a second I forget I am wrapped up in the arms of my enemy and let go. My heartbeat races giving me away. He pulls back suddenly and leaves the room. Behind him she stares at me. Another door in the home opens and she is brought in crying, it strikes though me. While on the the young girls face a light bulb flickers when she realizes I can still feel. I get dressed and rush to he. She sees me and extreme relief fills the room. He speaks to me, "time is short, you must leave now if not ever." I grab her and we leave the den of our enemies. His stare upon me until I am out of sight.
